In order to purchase a Flag to be dedicated and displayed on the common, please submit your donation of $25, and in the “Notes” section, please include the following details:
The name of the veteran you wish to honor.
Their rank and service details.
This donation will include your flag dedication for the week of Memorial Day!

“Flags of Honor” on The Common
Join us in our small town as we come together to pay tribute to our brave veterans with the "Flags of Honor on the Common" event. This heartfelt and patriotic event occurs during the week of Veteran's Day and the week of Memorial Day, serving as a meaningful way to honor and remember those who have served our country.
Sutton Lions Golf Classic SOLD OUT
Join us at The Pleasant Valley Country club for our annual golf classic. It’s a scramble play and a shotgun start at 9 am. Registration is at 8:30. Enjoy the day as you play this prestigious course. All players are automatically entered in our eight contests throughout the course including 4 hole-in-one contests. Help the community and become one of our major sponsors or just sign up as a player or foursome. We will see you at Pleasant Valley in Sutton on Monday, August 14th, 2023.

“Flags of Honor” on The Common
The Sutton Lions Foundation & American Legion Riders (entity of Dudley Gendron) are joining forces to bring this new annual tradition to our beautiful town. “Flags of Honor” on The Common. The Common will display lighted flags during the weeks of Veterans Day and Memorial Day. We are offering sponsorship for these flags for our charity fundraiser. You will also be able to provide us a note of the veteran you are sponsoring for the flag. We will laminate and attach the note to your flag. The flag sponsorship is $50/each. This includes the week of Veterans Day and the week of Memorial Day. Sponsorship will reset after Memorial Day. 100% of the profits are split evenly between The Sutton Lions Foundation and American Legion Riders. We are limited in our first year, so sponsor one today while they are available.
Christmas on The Common (Trees on The Common)
The Sutton Common is a beautiful local treasure. The Sutton Lions coordinate this event in conjunction with the Garden Club and Chain of Lights Committee.
Reach out to The Sutton Lions in November to sponsor your tree on the common. We put on the lights, but you can put on the ornaments. Be sure to visit The Town Common the evening of The Chain of Lights to see Santa light the trees. Enjoy the holiday music of our Sutton High School Band and stay for photo with Saint Nicholas.
Sutton Lions Limited Annual Christmas Ornaments
Every year the Sutton Lions sell our annual pewter Christmas Ornaments that are engraved with our iconic and historical sites of our beautiful town. This year’s ornament is the historic Eight Lots Schoolhouse. The ornaments are $20/each. Order yours today to continue your collection.
Scholarships
The Sutton Lions Foundation award certain Sutton residents who exceed in their charitable giving, local participation and scholastic achievements. Our Scholarship Committee received several letters from applicants every year and the committee determine this year’s recipients of the award. It is always difficult since we have so many deserving students in our town.
